Welcome to Troop 89

Come Join the Adventure!

Since 1956, Troop 89 has been enriching the lives of Boys in the Downers Grove area.  We are an active troop, camping frequently, going on high adventures, and providing service to our community. These opportunities provide our boys the ability to acquire new skills they will use throughout their lifetime. Our troop is boy lead, the scouts plan, organize and run the troop meetings and outings. This allows our scouts to learn responsibility, planning, and leadership firsthand. The adult leadership is there to facilitate the scouts activities and to provide a safe environment.    

Our troop is active within our local council and community.  Every year several of our scouts and adults work at our council summer camps. Many of our scouts and adults are members of the Order of the Arrow, scouting's National Honor Society, which promotes camping, scouting traditions, and service to others. Throughout the year the troop participates in service projects for the benefit of our community. 

We meet regularly on Monday evenings at 7:15pm.  If you are interested in joining our troop please feel free to stop by and we will show you what Troop 89 is all about.
